Now I have painted the dots but its not as simple as that because I actually want the dots to be silver but if I just paint them silver on the dark background they won't "shine" so first I paint them white to act as a base and then..

Hi Paul, I really liked your work and your step by step is quite interesting!
I had 1 Q though – how did you manage to do the dots so evenly. Do you paint them on with a brush or use something else?

The best way I have found is to use the wrong end of the brush! If it is loaded with the right amount of paint it drops in a nice circle. I believe this is similar to the technique used by aboriginal artists in Australia.
