Striking

This is the first large scale piece from the formal abstract expressionism style of work. Its called Striking because thats how a friend described it when he first saw it and I thought that was a perfect way to respond to a painting as the artist can take it as a compliment or not depending on how paranoid they are!

Climate change

OK so this isn’t art or painting but its the single most important issue today so you’ll have to forgive me. There’s a chance to help the scientists put together a prediction model so we’ll know sooner how bad things are going to be. All you need to do is go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/climatechange and follow the instructions. Do it, don’t think about it!

Here is the latest medium size painting. It follows on from the painting I published on Jan 25th without them being a series as such. For me these latest paintings are beginning to define visually what I mean by "Formal abstract expressionism".
